Surfers Paradise school kids learn from real-life crime fighters

Surfers Paradise Primary School students found themselves surrounded by uniformed police this morning, much to their delight.

The Educational Safety Program organised by the school’s own Adopt-A-Cop(s) Constable Deb Pokai and Constable Tracy Godwin thrilled students and teachers alike as classes were taken on an adventure.

Mother’s plea to find son’s killers

The mother of a murdered Gold Coast nightclub promoter has appealed to the public to help find who killed him.

Tumma Cousins plunged 31 floors from his Surfers Paradise apartment just before midnight on Friday May 11.

Burleigh gym sprayed with bullets overnight

Gold Coast school brawl not a ‘race riot’ and never was.

The latest in a long day of developments (click here or scroll down if you don’t believe me) involving the Gold Coast’s  ‘racial brawl’ where ‘racial tensions exploded’ story that featured quite prominently not only on the front page of the Gold Coast Bulletin, but also took up most of page four, most the editorial section as well as being featured on goldcoast.com.au, news.com.au and The Australian web sites, um…wasn’t race related it turns out.

This afternoon an Australian Associated Press article posted on News.com.au details South-east Queensland regional director Glen Hoppner once more stating that the fight was not racially motivated. Read the rest of this entry »

Body Brilliant Chiropractic: #1 at Manipulation?

In April 2008 best selling UK author Dr Simon Singh wrote an opinion piece in the Guardian newspaper regarding chiropractic treatments that contained the following paragraph:

“The British Chiropractic Association claims that their members can help treat children with colic, sleeping and feeding problems, frequent ear infections, asthma and prolonged crying, even though there is not a jot of evidence.
